From the Desk of Jill Sims: Welcome to the season of everything pumpkin spice! I hope you had a wonderful end of summer – it was a joy to see some of you or your businesses at the State Fair. My top favorites were the Visit Bemidji booth (snagged a great tote!), Patisserie 46’s rhubarb crumble at the Minnesota’s Farmers Union and Blue Barn’s PB bacon cakes. The list I wanted to try was endless, but only 1 fair visit this year didn’t afford me all the stops I wanted this year, but there’s always next! Thank you to all of the hard work many of you put in to treat us all at the Fair!  

Now that we’re back in the swing of things, read our key update on junk fees, prepare for minimum wage increases, and check out our local updates for St. Paul (drive-thru ban), Roseville (Green2Go ordinance) and Bloomington (sewer availability charges). As for our long Minnesota goodbye, a reminder I will be departing Hospitality Minnesota on September 30.
