To support and promote our mission to strengthen and expand educational programs in the hospitality industry and spotlight the state’s growing ProStart and Hospitality and Tourism Management Programs (HTMP), we’ve planned several events that you won’t want to miss.

Oktoberfest September 28, 2023 4:30 – 7:00 PM
Finnegan’s Brewing Company, 817 S. 5th Street, Minneapolis, MN
Join us at this kick-off celebration and fundraiser for what is bound to be an amazing year for both ProStart and HTMP students. Enjoy the delicious cuisine of Downtown Minneapolis’s hospitality community and grab a drink from Finnegan’s with other local leaders in the industry!
All proceeds benefit students through the Hospitality Minnesota Education Foundation.
Hospitality Career Student Expo, October 31, 2023 8:00 am – 2:00 pm
Minneapolis Marriott Northwest, Brooklyn Park, MN
The Foundation’s second annual Hospitality Career Student Expo is coming back to Minneapolis Marriott Northwest, this year bigger and better than before! In this action-packed day students will be introduced to the true potential of a career in hospitality during this interactive, all-day event. Stars of the Future, December 10, 2023 3:00 -5:00 PM – TWO DATES/TWO LOCATIONS
Bunker Hills Event Center, Coon Rapids, MN
This is the Foundation’s largest fundraising event of the year, raising the funds needed to send our ProStart State Champions to the NATIONAL COMPETITION in Baltimore! Attendees will enjoy small plates from several local ProStart teams and can bid on FABULOUS live and silent auction items. All proceeds go directly to the cover the travel expenses for the ProStart State Champs!
North Stars of the Future January 21, 2024 3:00 – 5:00 PM
Grandview Lodge, Brainerd, MN
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND — North Stars of the Future gives our supporters in outstate Minnesota the opportunity to gather in their neck of the woods to support hospitality education across their region. Attendees will enjoy small plates from several regional ProStart teams and can bid on FABULOUS live and silent auction items. All proceeds go directly to the cover the travel expenses for the ProStart State Champs!
Minnesota ProStart Invitational March 14, 2024 8:00 AM – 4:00PM
Saint Paul RiverCenter, Saint Paul, MN
At this exciting event, you can watch over a dozen ProStart teams from across the State go head-to-head in culinary competitions and management competitions for the chance to represent Minnesota at the National ProStart Invitational. State-wide awards to the top finishers in this competition, YOU’VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT! Please join us for this incredible day of inspiration.
